Here is what I do! When I see something such as clothing in a magazine and really want it.....I go on eBay and you can always find it. BUT....sometimes you have to wait a few months for it to come down in price. If the item is brand new and very hot, prices will be high at the beginning, but if you keep watching for it, you can really get awesome deals. What I do is rip pictures of items out of magazines and have them by my computer and check almost daily. A perfect example is Target's "GO" designer line of clothing. Sure, lol, I have seen buyers pay way more than the item cost, but they are the ones who have no patience to wait. I wait and watch for a few weeks or months and I have gotten brand new items with the original tags for as cheap as $4.99! The problem is people with no patience want it right away and they pay over what Target was charging, how insane, lol!!! My advice is just to chill, keep checking and you will always find what you want, sooner or later. Ohhhh, and buying off-season will get you deals like you never expected. Right now, sellers are trying to get rid of Winter items, so prices are very good. Same thing with Summer items, look for the best deals around August. I recently got a Summer, very darling Michael Kors wicker and leather, clutch purse, new with tags for less than half of what Nordstrom's was charging! Since there are so very many items on eBay, try to make a list of items you want and keep checking.

Wow I do the same. I buy the mags to see if I find the clothes on ebay...sometimes $400 stuff just go for $50. The key is patience. I also use the daily alerts w/ the search words.
1I do the daily alerts too on certain items. It's amazing how cheap you can get stuff. I also love to be able to buy the items that are discontinued. Like there is this perfume that I find disgusting called Babe, made by Faberge,
and my mother in law just loves that stuff, but
you can not buy it anywhere. They have discontinued it, but eBay always seems to have it....I think I watch that item all year long, have new alerts sent to me etc....and I eventually can get
it at a decent price. That $3 bottle of perfume can be like a hundred dollars, sheesh - if I'd have know that I would have bought and stocked up in the 1980's!
2Great advice! I try to get almost everything on eBay because it's ususally cheaper.
3You are all right
With the INSANE prices in department stores, eBay is AWESOME to
find what you want at a much lower price. I am guessing that some salespeople in the stores are right there if an item goes on sale and with their employee discount, they can get a bunch of
them and resell for much less on eBay! I ALWAYS look on eBay for expensive items to see if I can get it cheaper and I always find what I want
Oh, and just to let you know, BOOKS are MUCH cheaper than in ANY bookstore and you can find
ANY book you want
4Thanks for the great advice
